Handcut Magazine Collage on Rosaspina Fabriano 285gr
50cm x 70cm | 2016 €350
By taking the visual experiences and awareness when visiting a new place, this series of collages represents an interpretation of memory 'flashes' - fragmented and seemingly separate moments that create a fusion between harmony and discomfort. Using contemporary imagery from magazines, the focus is on aspects of architectural detail (shape, colour and form), with no human presence, allowing space for the viewer to 'enter' and interpret their own scenario.
'Spin' channels a sense of displacement, exploring the notion of 'place', home and memory, questioning identity in a world of fabricated objects and lifestyle options.
