» Abstract Markings I - VI  (2014)
Indian Ink, 30 x 40cm

Balancing intuition with deliberate strokes, Abstract Markings initiated a period of discovery through mark making, both of a solid and translucent nature. Created in two layers, balancing tone and space with organic shapes and natural forms. Although unintentional, the marks often take shape of recognisable objects, photographic in their nature, questioning what we perceive to be created by hand or with machine.
