» When the forests have gone..
2017, Cut shopping bag, spray, kitchen unit, paint, glass, light,
80cm x 50cm x 30cm

Cut from discarded shopping bags found on Avenida Liberdade, Lisbon's main shopping street, 'Bag Forest' utilizes the positive and negative parts of the printed image in a two part sculptural work. The preservation, commodification, romanticism and destruction of the natural world u acts as a distortion to our sense of reality, leaving a feeling of displacement. This is reflected through the works by their contrasting disparities; light and shadow, positive and negative. Aiming to sit between the physical and the representational, the work questions our perception of reality and our relationship to nature within the museum setting.

Exhibition: MNHNC -  Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência, in June 2017, with MArt, in collective exhibition 'Escalas Desejantes'.
