"The Garden of Earthly Delights doesn’t shy away from any of the most pressing issues of human longing: death, the meaning of life, sex, and identity, while also audaciously making bold statements about the consequences of living." Carolyn Janssen (Contemporary Artist)
In times of culture shift, political confusion and ecological turmoil, the attempt to process the media can be overwhelming. During this immersive collage workshop you will use magazine imagery to create your own interpretation of a part of The Garden of Earthly Delights, inspired by the original painting created by Hieronymus Bosch (c. 1490-1510).
Whilst exploring our day to day relationship with the media and advertising, making collage expands creative horizons. Witness the magic that is created from witty, new or disturbing juxtapositions. There is no fear of the blank page, because everything you need is already around you.
Artist Nina Fraser will guide you through the process of collage, from selecting imagery to composition, scale and using colour, as well as methods to guide your own intuitive creative muse. Collage is a fun and democratic creative process, open to all levels of skill.
The workshop is limited to 15 people, and reservations should be made by making payment in the above link.* The workshop is not suited to children under 10 years. For children 11- 14 years please be accompanied by an adult.
