Drawing upon the old masters, we will look at basic composition techniques and symbolism to bring a new dimension into your collage work... more Wed 15th July | Exploring Distance - Exploring ideas of 'confinement', 'distance', 'absence' and 'presence', collage can be used effectively to add and remove detail from a composed image. You are invited to explore your own experience of social distancing through magazine collage techniques.. more Wed 22nd July | Mixed media image transfer Artist Nina Fraser will guide you through the method of transforming photographic imagery to fabric and wood and suggest artists to research who utilize this process successfully in their practice. more Wed 29th July | Mixed media techniques - You will learn how to effectively mix your media in this workshop that introduces various techniques to collage application, including thread, fabric (see previous workshop for technique) wax, and various glues. more This series of collage workshops are designed for all levels of experience, and is open to people of all creative and professional backgrounds. They will be held in English. Due to Covid19, the workshops are limited to 4 people, and reservations can be made by making payment through the booking link. The workshop is not suited to children under 10 years. For children 10- 14 years please be accompanied by an adult. All materials provided. €30 per person, per workshop €50 for two workshops (from this series) or bring a friend! (2 for 25€ each, must be booked at the same time) Participants will have enough space to work 2 metres apart and won't be required to share materials. Sanitising equipment and record of cleanliness in public areas will be available. Masks will be required to be worn throughout the duration of the workshop.
